Stimulus Money Hitting Housing Authorities Across the U.S. Means Big $$ for Real Estate Services Businesses!

This is EXCELLENT news for foreclosure cleanup companies -- and other real-estate related service businesses (eg, general contractors, painting companies, lawn care companies, etc.). Why? Read on.

HUD is disbursing stimulus money to housing authorities across the U.S. This means states and cities across the country can start addressing come of the problems brought on by the foreclosure crisis and other neglected projects they'd backburnered due to lack of funds, eg:

Rehabbing foreclosed homes for resale;

Building low-cost homes in distressed communities;

Repairing/rebuilding existing homes in communities hit by natural disaster (eg, New Orleans); and

Repairing/improving existing homes in low-income communities, senior citizen communities and other much-need construction and housing projects a community may need.

Types of Jobs/Projects the Monies Disbursed to Housing Authorities Will Provide for Communities Around the Country

These monies are part of the Obama Administration's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, "which Congress and President Obama authorized last spring to spur jobs amid a glut of job losses nationwide. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is [in charge of] disbursing the money to housing authorities across the country. [Source: Hampton Roads Business Journal (http://bit.ly/cdeQbS)].

According to the above-mentioned article, ". . . The types of jobs involved are architects, engineers, job-site superintendents, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, pipelayers, electricians, plumbers, concrete finishers, asphalt crews, drywall installers and finishers, painters, inspectors, and project managers, . .

What Other Media Outlets Are Saying about This Stimulus Money

The bulk of the money will go toward building and rehabbing. [Source: Chicago Public Radio, WBEZ (http://bit.ly/9u5KEn)].

HUD requires that all the money be contracted out within a year and the projects finished in three years. That should be no problem for the housing authority, which has a $100 million backlog of work ready to begin . . . [Source: Tampa Bay Online Newspaper (http://bit.ly/cZS1sw)].

. . . most of the contractors hired to do the work will come from [local companies] . . . "We'll be helping those contractors keep their employees on the job, and likely providing additional employment opportunities, as well . . . [Source: PennLive.com (http://bit.ly/apgaMh)].

Local housing authorities must commit the money to projects by next March [2010] and spend most of it within two years. Another $1 billion will be distributed through competitive grants, which would be used for more long-term improvements. . . . "Our intent is to use these funds to upgrade existing properties . . . The Bottom Line on Housing Authority Dollars

A lot of money is going to flow into local communities that foreclosure cleaning companies and other real estate services businesses can capitalize on. And, many of the contracts have to be awarded within a year or two. Remember, this legislation went into effect in 2009. This means the money is starting to flow into communities this year and next year.

And, some of these projects could go on for two, three or five years or more.

Two Ways for Foreclosure Cleaning Companies and Real Estate Services Business to Get Some of the Stimulus Money

Either you can bid on a contract directly; or you can be a subcontractor. Many of the larger contracts will probably go to larger, more established companies, ie, they'll be the primary contractors.

But, they will subcontract with a lot of smaller companies to ge the work done. This is where your small company can really rake up.

One subcontracting job could be worth thousands of dollars dollars -- and set you up for future jobs nicely.

And that's the beauty of government stimulus money. It has to be used, so companies states and cities scramble to get the money out of the door because they don't want to risk losing it.

This benefits large and small companies alike.

This ebook tells you:

Where to register for vendor contracting opportunities with your local housing authority;

The direct contact information for key executives in the housing authority in your state/city;

How to find all the housing authorities in a particular city;

How to find Vendor applications ("Procurement Applications" or "Contractor Applications") for your city;

A direct link to every housing authority website in the U. S.

This ebook is an invaluable tool for every real estate services business who wants to grow their company by doing business with their local housing authority.

Types of businesses/companies that can benefit from the information in this ebook include:

Foreclosure Cleaning Businesses

Appraisers

Window Repair and Installation Companies

Plumbers

Electricians

Roofing Companies

Local governments like to do business with local companies. And, many small businesses have grown into multi-million dollar companies -- just by growing this route.

Good luck in growing your business by reaching out to your city/state government for vending contracts.
